PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT
Dustin is currently the owner and operator of Theatrical Consultant & Management, a firm designed to provide professional consulting, guidance and management for theater companies and producers in all aspects of their projects and productions. Dustin is currently the Managing Director and Production Manager for Cabrillo Stage, a professional Musical Theater company based in Aptos California which is associated with Cabrillo College.
Dustin was the founding Artistic Director for the Monterey Bay Repertory Theatre, a company that provided socially relevant and challenging material not only for its actors but its audience as well, producing productions such as The Mass Appeal, Art, the west coast premiere of Shakespeare's R&J adapted by Joe Calarco and many more.
Dustin has directed and produced diverse shows , most recently having directed RENT, The Full Monty, Oliver!, Beautiful Thing, Little Shop of Horrors, West Side Story, The Laramie Project, Lord of the Flies, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo & Juliet and many others.
Dustin has taught theater and dramatic arts at High School's via the Regional Occupation Program as well as directing, musical directing, scenic & lighting design for a number of high schools through out the bay area. Dustin has also worked for Cabrillo College as technical director supporting the Theater Arts Department.
Some of Dustin's musical direction credits include West Side Story, Annie, Guys & Dolls, Pajama Game, Crazy
for You, Grease, Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, Oliver and many more. Dustin has worked as a technical consultant or production manager for a number of companies including Company One, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, San Jose Repertory Theater, Cabrillo Stage and Paramount Pictures on the Titanic film on tour. Dustin has extensive Sound Design experience in both sound reinforcement as well as atmospheric sound design for a variety of live theatrical environments.
Dustin has been an active promoter of youth theater for the past 20 years. Dustin co-founded and managed Hooked On Theater's Summer Youth Workshop, were children have an opportunity to learn all aspects of live theatre through full musical productions, classes and guest lectures involving professional working actors, choreographers and directors.
Dustin has and currently works as a freelance Artistic Director, Production Manager and Theatrical Consultant.
